How MillionPodcasts Helps You Find Your Voice as a Business or Brand

I’ve spent the better part of the last decade in PR and journalism, which means I’ve sent more pitches than I can count to editors, producers, hosts, and inboxes that will probably never see the light of day again.

When you’re in this world, you learn fast that the “where” matters just as much as the “what.” A.k.a., your perfect pitch doesn’t matter if it’s in the wrong inbox.

That’s why I was intrigued to try MillionPodcasts, a platform built for one thing: helping you find the right podcasts to pitch. The app does not include general media or a sprawling database full of irrelevant contacts. Just podcasts—and that focus is pretty refreshing as a seasoned PR manager.

Here’s what stood out for me:

  • It’s easy. You just have to search, filter, create lists, export them. That’s it. The platform doesn’t overcomplicate things, which is a gift in a world of overwhelming outreach tools.

  • It’s focused. Because it’s only about podcasts, I don’t have to spend any time wading through the noise. It’s perfect for clients looking for speaking opportunities or thought leadership placements, and many of mine currently are.

  • It’s eye-opening. Within minutes, I found podcasts I didn’t even know existed, and the filter system helps me niche down with my clients’ needs in mind.

  • It plays well with others. Contact lists created within MillionPodcasts export easily, so I can drop them right into my CRM without a hiccup.

It’s worth noting: the first round of hosts I reached out to weren’t currently accepting guests, but that’s not a criticism of the app. It’s just the nature of pitching. However, the win here is that I know I’m knocking on the right doors because they’ve been vetted for me.

If you’re a PR pro, marketer, entrepreneur, or anyone who understands the value of a well-placed conversation, MillionPodcasts makes that hunt for the right ears a lot less daunting and a lot more efficient.

Because in the end, it’s not just about finding somewhere to talk. It’s about finding the people who are already ready to listen to you.
